2 dead bodies recovered amid investigation into missing Kansas moms: Police

Police have found two bodies in rural Texas as part of an investigation into the disappearance of two Kansas mothers who went missing in Oklahoma, authorities announced Sunday.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, FBI and Texas County Sheriff’s Office said in X’s statement that the bodies will be “transported to the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine identity, cause and manner of death.”

Authorities have not yet identified the deceased.

Moms Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, from Hugoton, Kansas, have been missing since March 30. , they were driving to Oklahoma to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party in Oklahoma.

Authorities later found their vehicle abandoned in rural Oklahoma near the Kansas border.

On Saturday, Oklahoma State Police announced the arrest of four people and charged them with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in connection with the disappearances of Butler and Kelly.

The four are Tad Bert Cullum, 43; Tiffany Marshall Adams, 54; Cole Earl Twombly, 50; and Cora Twombly, 44.

ABC News could not immediately locate legal representation for those charged.
